BENVENUTO!
Thank you for visiting THE LOUISVILLE ITALIANS, the digital home of the Italian-American Association (IAA) of Louisville. The IAA was established in 1974 for the purpose of promoting the spirit and heritage of those classic and contemporary Italian cultural values recognized all over the world here in Louisville, Kentucky by adding our touch of southern charm and hospitality.
Although Italians and Italian-Americans have never represented a large percentage of the population in the city of Louisville, our contributions are many, our achievements are numerous, and our civic engagement is extensive. THE LOUISVILLE ITALIANS site is designed to help you become familiar with both the IAA’ past and present community involvement and keep you up to date on the many upcoming fun and exciting IAA social events and activities. Most importantly, being a frequent visitor to THE LOUISVILLE ITALIANS is also the fastest way for you to become a part of our extended family.
Some members of the IAA gather for dinner to celebrate Carnevale 2016 (the Italian version of Mardi Gras) at Loui Loui’s Authentic Detroit Style Pizza.
To prepare for the new year, the IAA held its Elections/Dinner Meeting at Clifton's Pizza on November 15, 2107 to elect the 2018 IAA Board of Directors. James Benassi was re-elected to another two year term as Secretary, Bob Scorsolini as Vice President, Phil Castagno as Treasurer and Bernie Carducci as Association President. Also returning Walt Carpenter, Angelo Vaccaro, Lisa Palmisano, Aaron Silletto and Albert Tomassetti, Jr. and Michelle Melillo will continue to serve as editor of the IAA Newsletter. Please express your appreciation to all these individuals for their willingness to serve the IAA! For more details on the election meeting and other events, please see the December
IAA Newsletter Presented below is the list of the 2018 IAA Board of Directors and their contact information.
